Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu

Review: This anime is clearly directed towards males, so females unless you share common interests as most males (if you know what I mean) skip this anime completely. The anime is fairly simple, a boy named Yuto Ayase is a normal high school kid that happens to live with his drunkard of a sister, and his homeroom teacher. These two characters are clearly there for comedic relief and play no real role in the anime as a whole, so we can skip their background information. Yuto happens to stumble upon one of the most intelligent, beautiful, and talented Haruka Nogizaka’s secret. Don’t worry guys she isn’t secretly one of us. No, instead she is an otaku (anime ‘freak’). You learn quite a bit of her past and why she tries to keep this hidden from everyone around her. Yuto, being the nice guy that he is, ends up helping her keep the secret among other things. Well that is the whole point of the anime, which is actually resolved rather close to the beginning… so what’s next? Well nothing to be brutally honest. The whole anime was merely fan service with constant pantie shots and suggestive episode titles. As for conflict? There basically is none. Any conflict that did arise was either solved within half an episode or one or two lines. This is probably one of the most happy-go-lucky animes I have seen yet. Which quite frankly is just a bore. The “plot” is very predictable, and the characters aren’t really liked or disliked. As for comedy, there were times that I chuckled so for that I give credit, but without any actual plot it was just a giant season of perverted jokes and fan service.

Final statements: This anime has really no point to it, and I can’t see anyone actually enjoying it too much if you know exactly what is going to happen. Overall this anime is a complete bore. Unless you are looking for high school girl shower scenes and panties (creepy much?) then don’t bother. Avoid watching.
