First Look: Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge
Title: Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge Genre: Comedy, Romance
Summary: Continuation of Arakawa Under the BridgeFirst Look: Every since the ending to season one I’ve been looking forward to this, and it doesn’t disappoint. I was a big fan of the first season because of the unique art, story, characters, and comedy. Not only does season two come back with the same great flavor, it also brought more romance. Being a huge fan of romance comedies I wasn’t against the idea. In the first three episodes, you start to learn a little more about Nino’s past, and the love Ric actually feels towards Nino. These three scenes, within 30 seconds of each other, got me craving for more:
I’m not sure that every episode will give me the “Awwww” moment I’m looking for, but it seems to be headed toward that direction. And for all of you that watch this for the comedy, don’t worry there is plenty of that too. All the episodes still have the same idiotic reasoning and crazy situations we learned to love. The opening soundtrack isn’t as catchy as the first, but it still has that indie vibe and strange lyrics. Overall I like it better though because of the art dramatically improved. It is still the same random changes of scenery and strange colors, but with a lot more going on. The ending is so-so, I like chorus but the rest isn’t anything special.Final statements: I see this season being even better than the first so of course I will keep it on watch. I hope that they keep up the character development (Nino’s at least) and random comedy. A bit of romance would be nice too.
