Hey guys! It feels like it has been forever. I wanted to let you know that I haven’t given up on Anime Anthology and I’ve actually been dying to write a ton of reviews for you. I do have some bad (yet exciting) news. As some of you may know I have recently graduated from college and have been on a journey to find a full time position. I’ve had a lot of ups and downs where things like anime and friends kept me going strong. For quite a time I’ve been pretty busy with different projects and job hunts so I had to unfortunately put my reviewing career on hiatus. It was difficult because there were so many good (and bad) series that I wanted to discuss with all of you. I slowly started to get back into it when there was a rather low point in my life to try and keep my chin up. Just as my blog juices started flowing I got an unexpected call from a company outside my state. They asked for an interview and I was more than happy to follow through. A couple weeks of studying and panicking something amazing happened…

I landed my possible dream job!

I couldn’t believe it at first and I had to read over the email again and again to make sure this wasn’t some early April Fools prank. I couldn’t be happier and things were finally feeling like they would settle down. Wrong. Things just got more intense and fast pace as my life was making a big change. I ended up having to move out of my apartment to a new apartment located accross the United States within two weeks. With the hussle and bussle of phone calls, paperwork, and celebration I soon lost track of time and realized that the reviews I wanted to release previously would now be months late.

So what does this mean?

Well in short I’m back, kind of. Although I don’t have a very stable internet connection right now, I will get one as soon as possible. I’ll be back to writing reviews from seasons past and the current season. I may be playing a bit of catch up but hopefully I’ll be able to get everything in order soon.

I also wanted to take this time to thank my amazing co-writer and co-founder Chidori3souske. She really took the lead with the Spring 2013 Preview and keeping the site up and running. She’s done an amazing job over the past year and I can’t express my gratitude enough. She has really been my crutch through this whole process. Chidori3souske has done a brilliant video podcast, written multiple reviews, helped with the layout and design, and created Anime Anthology’s very first mascot. I’m sure without her Anime Anthology wouldn’t be where it is today.

I also wanted to thank Hikaru for chatting with me when I stayed up quite a bit later than I should and kept me company as I worked on projects from personal to business. She’s helped tremendously by telling me that I should go to bed before I ruined my health and being more than just a co-writer, a friend.

Joshua, our newest recruit, as you can see shows a lot of promise. He’s done a great job keeping up with reviews of current and past seasons expanding our archives even further. I’m very pleased to have him on the team and disppointed in myself because I never truely got to welcome him to our family.

I apologize for the wall of text, but I’m happy to say I’m back.

Yep I know some of you might have already seen these PVs but I just want to share it…

AHHHHH!! Bouncing oppai in the game wwwwww XD

Holy crap I just can’t contain my excitement!! I want to watch this OVA to satiate my hunger for more Lagrange until season 2 comes on July. Base on the PV of the OVA, I’m confused if it’ll fill the time between the first season and the second or will the story be the continuation of the second season since on the first part you will see that Madoka is graduating while the later parts  we see Madoka piloting Vox Aura since if I remember correctly Vox Aura isn’t working anymore at the end of season 1. So maybe it’ll be the continuation of season 2 but it just doesn’t make sense…releasing a continuation of season 2 before it airs. Oh well what ever as long as I could watch it I’m already satisfied . As for the game, errrrrr I commend the bouncing oppai wwwwwwww. On a serious note it looks like it’ll be a fighting game similar to the Nanoha fighting games or Tekken(?).

I didn’t’ want to post about this earlier because I figured there were more important things to take care of first (such as reviews). Sadly I wasn’t able to post them before the tournament began and figured it is probably a good idea to mention it. What exactly am I talking about? The AniBlog Tourney of 2012 of course! If you haven’t heard of it well now is your chance. The tournament consists of dozens of anime related blogs that compete to see which is the best (according to voters). The first round of blogs actually just finished today (or yesterday rather) so I’m sorry I didn’t get this out beforehand. Nevertheless there are plenty more to explore and vote for! In case you were wondering the overall bracket here is what it looks like:

This is a great chance for everyone to check out veteran and new blogs alike. It doesn’t matter if your blog wins or loses, but getting your name out there and learning how to improve is always an essential part of creating a blog. I encourage everyone to follow the tournament progress if you are looking for a few new blogs to explore.

In case you were wondering, Anime Anthology wont be competing until April 21, 2012. But please don’t wait until then to check out this amazing competition! We are Anime Anthology do hope that we get at least a couple votes, but more importantly we are seeking feedback on how to improve our services. We want to bring the best anime experience to you, the user. Whether we end with 1 vote or 1000 votes we will continue to write reviews, previews, impressions, and anything else anime related.

Ah its the love month again. On the day of Valentine’s Day as I am commuting to school, the streets are lined up with vendors selling chocolates and roses, inside the train  I could see guys carrying rose and couples being all lovey dovey that I have to look away from them. Even when I arrived at my school guys are waiting at the lobby to fetch their girl friends and it  seems like wherever I look I could see red roses even the xerox operator and the janitress got one and somehow I just felt sorry for myself…shame on me lol. I guess I don’t have time for those stuffs since I’m really busy with school but no body’s stopping me to dive in to the world of the best anime romance that the anime world could offer. So in this valentines special we’ll list our 5 favorite romance anime.

I’m not a huge fan of Valentine’s Day. It has nothing to do with feeling lonely or anything; I’ve just never found the point in celebrating only one day of being with someone else. That’s why I want to share my top 5 favorite romance anime because they understand the significance of always celebrating that special some one. Cherishing every moment. Smiling at every memory.

Wow has it already been that long? Another Valentines day has already come? I feel like it was just yesterday we were doing our Valentines day special. Time flies. I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentines day whether you’re spending it with your loved one, friends, or even having a nice evening relaxing by yourself. I also wanted to show my appreciation to everyone who has made it possible for Anime Anthology to be such a big success. A much bigger success than I ever thought possible.

When I first started this website I never imagined I would get the feedback that I do. I was so happy even getting fifty people to visit my site daily. Even if they just happened to stumble upon it during a random Google search. This website has been running for over two years now and I couldn’t be happier. Now we’ve had a stable 600+ hits daily and over a million pageviews. It was YOU guys who made this all possible. You are the reason we write reviews, watch the good and bad, and motivated to create quality work. Each and every one of your comments has filled my heart with joy whether it be negative or positive. It makes me happy knowing that someone out there is at least taking the time to write us something. I also want to give a special thanks to a few select people I’ve met over the past couple years.

First and foremost my writing staff Chidori3souske and Hikaru. You two have been a great help to me and make me feel like this website is actually heading somewhere. I couldn’t believe it when you two showed interest in writing for AA. Chidori3souske has been with me for quite a long time now and has provided me a lot of new ideas that you see implemented today, and continuing to help me with her posts and brainstorming. She has been a great help to me and I wish to thank her properly for all her hard work. Thank you Chidori3souske for everything you have done for me and continue to do for me.
When I first saw Hikaru’s email applying as a writer to AA I couldn’t believe it. I remember going out and celebrating with my friends that someone actually thought my tiny site was worth writing for. Even though she has a very busy schedule she has always found the time to write for AA. Thank you Hikaru, I’m sure Chidori3souske agrees that you are truly an amazing person for joining our staff. I guess I shouldn’t call it “my site” anymore as we have each grown together to form “our site”.

LOLDSFAN/Dr. Scarecrow. You have both been extremely loyal readers and active members of the website back when we only had 10 or so reviews up. You stuck with us through every change we have ever had. You have even provided brilliant feedback to how the website is run today. It is an audience like you that make this all worth while.

My graphic designer and good friend Chrissy Noble has helped design, re-design, fix, and support me through all the layout changes I’ve made. Honestly, I don’t know why she stuck with me so long with my stubborn attitude and horrible sense of art. Either way, you have been a great help. Thank you.

Finally I would like to thank Feal87 of EmptyBlue and Anti-Social Geniuses for referring to my website. To think that other people actually wanted to spread my website for its quality is hard to comprehend. You have been an active commenters and a great help.
